NEW Martin Tielli subscription series
In 2003, Martin committed to the most tragically
ambitious music project to come out of Canada's
independent music scene in a very long time: four wildly divergent CDs, packaged in collector's edition tin cases with original artwork by Tielli, one year for delivery. It didn't quite happen.
THE REMAINING TWO ALBUMS HAVE SHIPPED TO SUBSCRIBERS!!
Originally titled The Ghost of Danny G and New Gold, the new album embraces a common theme and is called ...
... The Ghost
of Danny Gross, Part 1 and Part 2 .
The seeds of this recording were planted with
Nick Buzz. A
portrait of rural southern Ontario inside the
true and complex story of a haunted town. Be
afraid -- be very afraid.
Artwork for the second disc will be shipped on completion; in the meantime, both audio CDs and artwork for the first disc are available as part of the subscription series.
A small number
of subscriptions are still available. Each CD is delivered in a numbered, collector's edition tin box.
Total subscription price: $100 plus tax (extra
shipping for international orders). Upon ordering,
you will receive a voucher specifying your "limited
edition" number and receipt.
To order, visit Six
Shooter Records. In the meantime ...
NEW Album preview track for download
By way of saying thanks for subscribers' patience and support regarding the delayed delivery of the much-anticipated closure to Martin's subscription series, Six Shooter Records is offering a sneak peek -- "Something in the Woods" -- a new track included in The Ghost of Danny Gross.
If, as a subscriber, you haven't already received notice from Six Shooter, please e-mail emilysmart@sixshooterrecords.com to receive a link to the new track.

Upcoming shows
None at this time as a solo artist.
However, Martin appears as a member of the Five Hole band in
Five Hole: Tales of Hockey Erotica, db's collaboration with One Yellow Rabbit -- one of Canada's foremost experimental theatre companies -- on "Bravo!FACT Presents."
For those of you who missed the run two years ago in Calgary, or the national tour last year, you can now enjoy the show from the comfort of your own living room.

Previous show now online
The Schumann-inspired Art of Time ensemble and guests concert of December '07 (see below) is finally available for listeners on-line. Click here to have a listen to three-quarters of Nick Buzz -- Martin Tielli, Jon Goldsmith and Rob Piltch.
Beth Hamill, a transplanted Yank whose heart was stopped at the Canadian border when it tried to declare its love for Canadian music, shoots bands as an expression of that love. She took this pic of Martin and his Nick Buzz cohorts with the Art of Time ensemble during the December concert featuring Schumann’s Piano Quintet Op. 44 and 10 original songs written and performed by Canadian singer/songwriters inspired by the quintet. Visit Rock / /Paper // Pixels for other examples of Beth's work.
